The role is critical in developing the overall strategy and plans for delivery of the NSSS Piping programme during the define Phase 1 period that spans financial close through to commencement of on-site construction; a period of approximately 6-years. Critical aspects of the role will be the realisation and practical application of replication, definition of adoption of modular methods of construction/offsite working and leading the development of the project execution plan for Phase 1. Key aspects and topics within the project execution plan will be the estimate and schedule for phase 1, delivery strategy for the work including procurement and the adoption of learning from experience from HPC and other EPR projects. The unique aspects of the role include multiple and complex interfaces both only across the three mini-consortia partners but also integration of MEHA within the two area programmes (NI and CI & NSSS). Due cognisance will need to be given to simultaneous construction operations created by the demanding compressed schedule and coincident civil engineering works to be performed by the Civil Works Alliance (CWA) in parallel to the MEHA installation and construction scope. This creates an environment of simultaneous operations that needs a dedicated and skilled team to effectively plan and navigate from a safety and constructability perspective. This position will report to the SZC MEHA Piping programme manager and will work alongside other members of the SZC MEHA team to develop the necessary strategies and plans to enable full development for the NSSS piping programme.
