A healthcare provider in Hereford is seeking a Pharmacy Training Manager to lead training initiatives and manage pharmacy staff. The ideal candidate will work closely with the team to enhance the skills of pharmacy professionals while ensuring the efficient operation of pharmacy services. This role promises a balanced work-life environment in a scenic location, offering an opportunity for professional growth and development.
The post holder will work closely with the Senior Pharmacist for Education and Training to provide a comprehensive education and training service to the Pharmacy Department. The role will predominantly include delivering training and education to all pharmacy professionals with an emphasis on ATO development, training and supporting undergraduate and foundation year pharmacists, and supporting education for the safe and effective use of medicines to other healthcare professionals.
Occasional duties to include taking medicines histories and completing medicines reconciliation, making therapeutic interventions within scope of practice, supply of medicines, final checking of medicines and counselling patients. In addition management responsibilities will include line management of junior staff, assisting with the day to day running of the service and monitoring performance, of the service.
The role will also involve making continuous improvements to the service using innovative techniques to develop the pharmacy technician role and pharmacy profession.
