A leading consulting firm is seeking an experienced Oracle EBS HCM Payroll Functional Consultant. This remote role requires expertise in UK Payroll & Absence Modules and involves leading projects for the public sector. Candidates should have over 12 years of experience with Oracle solutions and possess the ability to communicate complex solutions effectively. The position offers a salary of up to £115,000 gross annually.

About The Role

Oracle EBS HCM Payroll Functional Consultant

Focus : UK Public Sector - Payroll & Absence Modules

Remote UK wide with occasional travel to client side.

Salary- up to £115,000 Gross / a DOE

Full right to work in the UK ( No sponsorship but can take people on a dependant visa)

This role is suitable for a customer orientated person who will posses analytical skills and quality awareness.

Core Responsibilities
  • Lead and execute and support of Oracle EBS HCM (UK Payroll & Absence).
  • Demonstrate expert proficiency in UK Payroll, Pension, and Absence processes.
  • Hands‑on experience with Oracle Global Payroll / Absence EBS for UK public sector.
  • Manage functional problem resolution, SLA adherence, and vendor transition.
  • Utilize HCM technical tools:
    • HCM Data Loader (HDL)
    • HCM Extract
    • BI Reporting
    • Fast Formulas
    • Payroll Batch Loader
  • Communicate complex solutions to technical, business, and management teams.
  • Lead discussions on integrations, data migrations, and reporting.
  • Apply full SDLC knowledge: CRPs, testing, training, change requests.
  • Prepare status reports with RAG, maintain RAID logs, and manage risks.
Required Skills
  • 12+ years implementing Oracle EBS HCM Payroll & Absence for UK.
  • Deep knowledge of UK Payroll, Pension, Absence processes.
  • Strong experience with Oracle Global Payroll / Absence EBS.
  • Proficiency in HCM technical tools (HDL, Extracts, BI, Fast Formulas).
  • Ability to translate technical solutions for diverse audiences.
  • Experience across full SDLC lifecycle.
Preferred
  • Excellent planning and release management.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills.
  • Coaching and mentoring experience (managing 5+ team members).
  • Familiarity with Lean / Agile methodologies.
Interviews
  • 1st Stage – Technical 1 hour screening / technical deep dive
  • 2nd Stage – Business Round
  • 3rd Stage – Call with TA to run through the offer before it gets made verbally
