Overview

Trillium Flow Technologies serves customers in the power, oil & gas, general industry and water & wastewater sectors with highly engineered valves, pumps and actuators, as well as complete support in every phase of a project or operation.

We have UK Facilities/offices in Alloa, Elland, Bedford, East Kilbride & London. As well as employees-based UK wide within Customer sites.

Lead Nuclear New Build Project Manager

Responsibilities
  • To lead and provide dedicated management and support of the high level NNB project contracts.
  • Promote and maintain the highest standards of project management best practices through leadership, management, governance, planning, organisation and motivation.
  • Organise resources to achieve defined project goals and deliverables, including day-to-day management of the NNB Project Managers and their teams to achieve project milestones.
  • Act as the focal point for UK and overseas strategic alliance partners to support and develop New Nuclear Business for continuing New Nuclear Business and Contracts.
  • Review and approve monthly progress reports and schedule updates, ensuring changes in scope, durations or start/finish dates are fully explained and mitigated.
  • Write proposals for variations and negotiate to a successful conclusion with the client.
  • Ensure all resources are aware of their roles and responsibilities in a project, together with effective stakeholder communication.
  • Ensure project milestones and goals are met.
  • Organise and attend internal and external meetings as required (national and international travel is required).
  • Coach and mentor all members of the NNB project team. Identify suitable further training to develop them.
  • Stand in for NNB Project Managers when required (leave / illness etc.).
  • Actively seek business development opportunities in the New Nuclear environment.
  • Actively improve processes and procedures within the NNB Projects and adapt for broader business use as appropriate.
  • Actively support and promote the Company's Health, Safety, Environmental, Quality and other policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate with the workshop and test teams to ensure timely actions in hand for project execution.
  • Provide comprehensive and timely updates to the Managing Director on project progression.
Education & Qualifications
  • Strong engineering and service-related background. Experience in managing major projects and leading a deadline-driven project/team.
  • Recognised engineering qualification (minimum HNC). Substantial recent experience as a Project Manager within an engineering environment with the ability to manage projects throughout the full project lifecycle, including design, manufacturing, site installation and commissioning.
  • Strong financial and commercial understanding. Prince 2 or similar qualification preferable.
  • Sound understanding of modern project planning/scheduling processes. Knowledge of rotating equipment is advantageous. Willing to become fully conversant with company HSEQ procedures and management systems.
