Job summary

A technology solutions provider in the UK is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to take ownership of mechanical designs from concept to manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Mechanical Design Engineering and experience in high-volume manufacturing. Proficiency in SolidWorks and collaboration skills are essential. This role requires on-site presence at least 4 days a week, emphasizing adherence to the highest ethical standards in engineering practices.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a mechanical design role, ideally within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Experience with manufacturing processes such as casting, injection moulding, and machining.
• Experience designing for harsh environments including sealing, corrosion resistance, and vibration mitigation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical design process across the full product lifecycle.
• Develop and deliver robust mechanical designs aligned with project goals.
• Prepare and execute verification and validation test plans.
