Job summary

A leading marine design firm is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to manage project-based designs for luxury yacht tenders. You will be responsible for producing detailed 3D models and designs while collaborating with external teams and mentoring junior staff. The ideal candidate has 8+ years of marine engineering experience and a BEng/MEng qualification. Skills in CAD and Rhinoceros are essential. This is an exciting opportunity for a technically-focused role, with a competitive salary range of £55,000 - £65,000.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years’ experience in marine engineering design, ideally in luxury yachts.
• Proficient in structural calculations for fabricated items and composite engineering.
• Ability to hand sketch and 3D model new tender concepts is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead project-based design for semi-production and custom superyacht projects.
• Produce detailed 3D models and drawings for tooling and fabrication.
• Engage and mentor junior design team members.
