Profile

Our client specialises within the legionella /water treatment industry and provides the full range of legionella services to a mixed range of clients across the UK. They are now looking to take on a competent and self‑motivated Lead Legionella Consultant based ideally in the South East, but open minded. The ideal candidate will have experience working within the legionella industry, holding good knowledge of commercial and industrial water systems, previous experience undertaking legionella risk assessments and a proven track record of providing clients with legionella consultancy services to blue‑chip clients as well as liaising with company directors and boards.

Experience & Qualifications

• Will hold the City & Guilds/WMSoc Legionella Risk Assessor Qualification.
• Will have extensive experience working in the Legionella industry.
• Will have extensive knowledge of relevant health and safety / ACOP L8 guidelines.
• Will have good working knowledge of commercial and industrial water systems.
• Must have a proven track record of providing consultancy advice to clients.
• Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Legionella Risk Assessor team and attend sites as required.
• Assist with technical support and services.
• Carry out high‑level Legionella risk assessments in line with ACOP L8.
• Deliver legionella training to clients.
• Compile schematic drawings and produce final documents for clients.
• Provide recommendation and pricing for remedial works and routine control measures, produce quotations and carry out such works based on the risk assessments.
• Undertake monthly temperature testing and water sampling.
• Provide technical consultancy advice.
• Survey water systems and supplies as per ACOP L8.
• Write reports and attend meetings with clients to discuss findings when required.
• Maintain and develop a professional working rapport with clients and colleagues of all levels.
