Overview

Lead Automation Installation Engineer required to join a global engineering service provider specialising in automated and intelligent software solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Leading a team to Install, Commission, and support Automated Systems including Conveyors, Robotic Cells, and Crane Systems.
  • Mechanical and Electrical Fault Finding, System Integration, and ensuring Installations meet safety and performance standards.
  • Provide on-site and remote support for installed systems.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and emergency repairs.
  • Work on various sites all over the UK. Must be willing to travel and work away from home.
Experience & Skills
  • Experience working with Robotic Programming and Integration.
  • Knowledge of Crane Systems and Lifting Equipment Regulations.
  • Proven experience in automation installation (Conveyors, Robotics, Cranes).
  • Strong Electrical and Mechanical Fault Finding skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
  • Experience with PLCs (e.g., Siemens, Allen Bradley).
Qualifications & Certifications
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
  • Valid CSCS card or equivalent.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Certification in Electrical safety (e.g. 18th Edition).
  • IPAF, PASMA, or similar site access qualifications.
Compensation

Salary is up to £45,000 for the ideal candidate.
