Overview

Lead Data Analytics Engineer — £500-£550 per day (Outside IR35). West London, hybrid arrangement with 3-4 days onsite. 6-12 months contract. Interviews ASAP. Requires expertise in GCP, SQL, Python and BigQuery.

Responsibilities

• Lead data analytics initiatives in a contract capacity, guiding data engineering activities and delivering analytics solutions.
• Ingest, extract and analyse data from diverse sources; design and implement ELT/ETL processes.
• Collaborate with third parties and stakeholders; communicate clearly and work autonomously to drive innovation.
• Ensure data warehouses and databases (BigQuery) are effectively used and maintained; support BI tooling integration.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer in a Senior/Lead capacity.
• Expertise with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery.
• Experience with data ingestion, transformation and analysis across diverse sources.
• ELT/ETL development; strong SQL and Python programming.
• Experience with BI tools such as Power BI and Omni (or similar Looker-like tools).
• Strong communication skills to work with 3rd parties; ability to work autonomously and drive innovation.

Contract Details

• Contract Type: Temporary Interim Management (6-12 months).

• Salary: £500-£550 per day; Outside IR35.
