Key Requirements

• Degree or Masters in Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Psychotherapy or Doctorate in Psychology
• Valid and up-to-date professional registration and membership of professional body (e.g. BPS)
• Experience working with autistic individuals and/or those with complex needs
• Clear and concise report writing for clinical and research activities
• Experience providing supervision and supporting a therapy team
• Ability to work independently and dynamically within a growing and developing clinical service
• Experience of multi‑professional work with teams or services within the designated specialty (preferred)
• Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle

Position Overview

• Location: Manor Wood School – Bristol, BS13 8AG (part of the Acorn Education brand, an independent specialist day school supporting young people aged 5‑16)
• Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 FTE (DOE)
• Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
• Contract: Permanent (term‑time only or flexible based on circumstances)

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the onsite clinical team, coordinating line management and supporting service development with the School Senior Leadership Team and Regional Clinical Lead
• Deliver bespoke assessment and intervention plans for students with complex profiles including autism, neurodivergence, developmental trauma and social, emotional and mental health needs
• Meet the needs of EHCP plans, targeting delivery through OFG, group and individual clinical ways of working embedded in practice
• Support the growth of colleagues, apprentices, students and therapy assistants, fostering independence and independence
• Maintain a person‑centred, empowering approach and strong safeguarding culture across all settings
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary clinical team and education teams to provide vital provision to pupils
• Ensure continual professional development and adhere to quality standards
