Job summary

A children's care recruitment agency is seeking a Children's Home Registered Manager for a 12-month maternity cover, starting in December 2025. The role involves managing day-to-day operations and ensuring compliance with regulations while delivering exceptional care to children. Ideal candidates will have a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management and experience in children's residential care. Competitive salary and potential for a permanent role.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing a children’s residential home or similar setting.
  • Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding legislation.
  • Experience supporting children with learning and/or physical disabilities is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate, and support a multi-disciplinary team to deliver outstanding care.
  • Maintain full compliance with Ofsted and all statutory frameworks.
  • Safeguard and promote the welfare and wellbeing of children in accordance with their care plans.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and improvement plans.
  • Oversee staff recruitment, induction, supervision, and appraisals.
  • Build and sustain effective relationships with families, professionals, and external agencies.
  • Manage budgets and resources efficiently.
  • Prepare reports and documentation for inspections and internal review.
