About The Role

Morgan Sindall Infrastructure has exciting opportunities for LE1 OHL Operatives to join our Project delivery team to work on sites based Nationwide.

What you'll be doing
  • Install, build and refurbish overhead power lines up to 400kV.
  • Maintain and develop new skills and competencies in accordance with National Grid, Morgan Sindall standards and legislative changes.
  • Carry out all work in accordance with the standards, policies and procedures of Morgan Sindall and its clients.
  • Work as part of a team to ensure the safe, effective and efficient implementation of Morgan Sindall operations.
  • Maintain site safety at all times and complete daily risk assessments where required.
  • Conform to all instructions stated in Risk assessments and Guidance Notes
  • Ensure that accidents and near misses are promptly reported.
  • Complete all work to high quality standards.
Experience

Already experienced as a LE1 OHL Operative you will:

  • Be a time served apprentice
  • Have LE1 National Grid Approved competencies (NG Persons)
  • Demonstrable experience in the role
  • Have NSI 4 Operations (preferred not essential)
  • Be experienced with up to and including 400kV overhead line refurbishment.
  • Ideally have some new build experience.
  • Have a track record working on the National Grid transmission network.
  • Have experience operating specialist plant such as winch tractors, capstan winches, puller / tensioners
