Job summary

A UK Law Firm is seeking a risk and compliance specialist to manage legal files according to regulatory requirements. In this role, you will plan and conduct risk-based file reviews, report non-compliance issues, and recommend corrective actions. An opportunity for a risk and compliance specialist, an experienced PA or a legal professional to own something, and you really will own it!

Overview of the role:

Ensuring legal files are managed in line with firmwide policies, regulatory requirements, and best practice. Working closely with the Head of Compliance, fee earners, and senior stakeholders. Supporting the firm by identifying non‑compliance, recommending corrective actions, and improving processes.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Plan and conduct risk‑based file reviews across the firm.
  • Identify areas of non‑compliance and report findings to relevant stakeholders.
  • Recommend corrective actions and process improvements to strengthen compliance.
  • Support audits, reporting, training, and policy reviews within the Risk & Compliance team.
  • Maintain accurate records of reviews, actions, and outcomes.
  • Build effective working relationships across departments to ensure adherence to compliance standards.
