iFast owns a global language learning platform that connects students and teachers for 1-on-1 online language lessons, to help students improve speaking on many occasions such as business, presentations, workplace, public speaking, exams and daily life, by killing boredom and using their spare time. We're passionate about giving everyone the opportunity to teach and learn languages, in the most personalized and authentic way possible to allow both teachers and students to make use of spare time at their convenience.

Role Description

As a Speakington teacher, you set your own prices and hours. Teachers operate as independent freelancers, setting their own schedules, rates, and lesson plans. The role is flexible and remote, ideal for part-time or supplemental income, but success depends on building a student base in a competitive market. Teachers regularly post and update their availability, and students are only allowed to book those timeslots when teachers are available.

Students typically have one of these goals listed below:

  • Objective 1: Career and Business, such as interview preparations, mock interviews and business languages.
  • Objective 2: Lessons for Kids: early child education.
  • Objective 3: Exams and Course Works: IELTS or other related exams preparations. Medical related fields' speaking and language enhancement.
  • Objective 4: Culture Travel and Hobby: discuss about different travel destinations, prepare students to be able to know travel abroad and handle different situations
Responsibilities

Conduct interactive online lessons via video chat according to pre‑agreed schedule. Please be on time!

Independently design and prepare some materials or talking points to create conversations, or curricula, and activities tailored to student goals and levels if they are exam focused.

A fast internet connection, a computer or laptop, an camera and a headset.

After classes, teachers provide feedback, track progress, and build rapport to encourage repeat bookings.

Qualifications

Fluency in one of the 10 languages: English, Korean, Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese and Italian.

Past teaching experience especially regarding virtual online teaching is highly preferred. Good at making an impression and giving presentations in front of cameras.

Excellent verbal and written Communication skills. Proven ability to adapt teaching styles to different learning preferences.

Bachelor's degree in Education, English, Linguistics, or a related field (highly preferred).
