We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Agricultural Liaison Officer to join our Infrastructure team covering the Northeast. This role would suit someone who has accessibility County Durham and Leeds.

As our Agricultural Liaison Officer position, you will be the first point of contact between our clients and Landowners alongside contractors and agents.

Main tasks
  • Proactively engaging with landowners to ensure necessary land access.
  • Keeping the client informed and advising on practical matters impacting land.
  • Ensuring that the contractor on site adheres to commitments made to landowners.
  • Managing and resolving landowner complaints related to project activities.
  • Coordinating site visits for records of condition and meetings.
  • Assisting the team in settling compensation claims.
  • Maintaining accurate stakeholder records.
  • Working within client-defined timeframes to ensure timely programme delivery.

What does it take to be successful?

We are looking for someone who possesses a strong knowledge of agriculture and rural affairs and a strong understanding of infrastructure schemes and their impact on agricultural land.

If you have working knowledge of Soil management, drainage plans with landowners and records of condition this would be advantageous. Ideally, you’re ambitious and keen to drive business initiatives forward, whilst maintaining existing relationships. A team player approach combined with strong interpersonal skills with both colleagues and clients at all levels are key to this role.

As there is a certain amount of travel involved in the role, a full driving licence is essential.
