Job description

Join a-leading UK manufacturer of high-specification alloy castings as a Lab Technician, supporting global customers through an end-to-end manufacturing solution. This is a technical, hands‑on role within a laboratory and foundry environment, offering long‑term stability, excellent benefits, and the opportunity to work as part of a skilled metallurgical team.

Lab Technician Duties
  • Carrying out metallurgical testing and chemical analysis
  • Supporting test bar failure investigations alongside metallurgists
  • Foundry melt release and charge correction activities
  • Managing material failure recovery and incoming material control
  • Supporting third-party witnessing coordination
  • Annual calibration and servicing of laboratory equipment
  • Managing material bookings and monitoring testing timelines
  • Developing and maintaining software systems for testing and subcontract monitoring
  • PMI testing and reporting
Pay & Hours

£14.00 – £17.00 p/hour (depending on experience)

37 hours per week

25 days holiday plus bank holidays

Experience & Skills Required
  • Practical laboratory experience
