Start Date: January 2026 | Location: Bromsgrove | Position Type: Full-time (Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm) | Pay: From £89 per day | Long-term role with the opportunity to go permanent

We are seeking a compassionate and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Bromsgrove. This is a full-time, long-term role supporting a KS2 non-verbal pupil on a 1:1 basis, helping them access learning, develop key skills, and thrive within the school environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is patient, nurturing, and committed to making a positive impact in a child’s educational journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide consistent 1:1 support to a KS2 non-verbal pupil, encouraging engagement, communication, and independence
  • Assist with implementing and monitoring Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Support the child’s academic, emotional, and social development
  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider school team
  • Help maintain an inclusive, calm, and engaging classroom environment
  • Adapt activities and resources to meet the pupil’s individual needs
Requirements
  • Previous school-based experience is essential
  • Experience working with children with SEN, particularly communication needs, is highly beneficial
  • A compassionate, patient, and proactive approach
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A valid DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
