Job summary

A tutoring organization is seeking Academic Staff - Tutors in Harrogate to support looked after children and students with EHCP's on a 1-1 basis. The role offers flexibility to choose your own hours with pay rates between GBP20 - GBP30 per hour. Ideal candidates will have at least 1 year of relevant experience and will be responsible for providing focused support in Maths, English, or Functional Skills to boost academic confidence and achievement. This position is temporary and part-time.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience tutoring or teaching core subjects.
• Experience working with diverse learners, including those with SEN.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Have or be willing to undertake an Enhanced DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Provide structured support in Maths, English or Functional Skills at KS2-KS3 level.
• Adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs of students.
• Deliver engaging lessons to boost academic confidence.
• Work closely with learners to identify gaps and set motivating goals.
