I hope you are well and would be interested in the following opportunity. I am looking for Academic Staff – Tutors to support looked‑after children and students with EHCPs on a 1‑1 basis with their core and vocational subjects.

Location: Sheffield.
Pay Rate: GBP20 – GBP30 per hour.
Job Type: Temporary, Part‑Time, Flexible.
Choose your own hours – Monday through Friday, 8am‑4pm.
Work locally and help students achieve their full potential.

What You'll Do
  • Provide structured, focused support in Maths, English or Functional Skills at KS2‑KS3 level.
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs and learning styles of students.
  • Deliver engaging lessons to boost academic confidence and exam performance.
  • Work closely with learners to identify gaps and set realistic, motivating goals.
What You Need
  • Minimum 1 year of experience tutoring or teaching core subjects.
  • Experience working with diverse learners, including those with SEN.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Have or be willing to undertake an Enhanced DBS check.
Desirable
  • PGCE or QTS in a core subject (English, Maths, or Science).
  • Previous experience supporting students with learning difficulties or SEN needs.
