Pay Rate: Up to £120 per day (depending on experience)

Are you a caring, patient, and enthusiastic individual who enjoys supporting young learners in Key Stage 1?

GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated KS1 Teaching Assistant to join schools in Sheffield. This is a fantastic opportunity to help children develop academically, socially, and emotionally while providing vital classroom support.

Role Overview

As a KS1 TA, you will work closely with teachers to support learning and help pupils reach their full potential. You will provide targeted support, assist with lesson delivery, and help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Responsibilities
  • Support pupils’ learning on a one-to-one basis or in small groups.
  • Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom management.
  • Encourage and motivate pupils to engage with learning activities.
  • Help create a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment.
  • Support pupils with additional needs, where required.
  • Uphold high standards of safeguarding and pupil welfare.
Requirements for KS1 Teaching Assistant
  • Previous experience supporting children in a primary school setting is desirable.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Adaptability to work with different learning needs and abilities.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
