Location: Denton, Tameside (M34)
Salary: £450 £500 per week (depending on experience and qualifications)
Contract: Long-term, January July

We re looking for a caring and enthusiastic KS1 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Denton, Tameside. This long-term role starts in January and runs until the end of the academic year, giving you the chance to make a real impact on pupils early learning.

A key part of this role is supporting phonics, so experience delivering or assisting with phonics sessions (such as Little Wandle, Read Write Inc., or Letters and Sounds) is essential.

What Y0u' ll Be Doing
  • Supporting the class teacher with daily lessons and activities across KS1
  • Delivering or assisting with phonics groups, helping children develop early reading skills
  • Working with pupils one-to-one or in small groups to ensure all learners make progress
  • Encouraging children s social, emotional, and academic development
  • Helping to maintain a warm, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
What We re Looking For
  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school or a relevant qualification (Level 2/3 TA)
  • Experience supporting phonics and confidence leading small phonics groups
  • A patient, nurturing approach and a genuine passion for working with young children
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
