About the Role
  • Teach all areas of the primary curriculum.
  • Take responsibility for the progress and development of a class of primary-aged pupils.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that cater to a range of abilities.
  • Organise the classroom and resources to create a positive learning environment.
  • Assess and monitor pupil progress rigorously, using data to inform teaching.
  • Maintain high expectations for every child, ensuring attainment matches potential.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and parents to support pupil development.
Key Responsibilities
  • Establish clear, challenging learning goals for all pupils.
  • Monitor and assess progress effectively, using data to inform teaching and support improvement.
  • Deliver constructive feedback to pupils and parents, including during scheduled meetings.
  • Lead and coordinate activities or resources within a designated curriculum area, supporting colleagues as needed.
  • Contribute actively to the school's vision and improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in school events and activities, occasionally outside normal hours.
  • Keep up to date with curriculum changes and best teaching practices.
