Start: January 2026 Temp to Perm Suitable for NQTs/ECTs

Are you an enthusiastic Primary Teacher with a strong understanding of Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? Do you enjoy creating engaging, nurturing and supportive learning experiences for children who benefit from a tailored approach? If so, this could be the ideal role for you.

Tradewind Recruitment is delighted to be working with a dedicated SEMH School in Bottesford, who are seeking a committed Primary Teacher to teach KS1 and KS2 pupils. This is a full teaching role including planning, marking, assessment and wider responsibilities. The role is open to both experienced teachers and NQTs/ECTs wishing to grow within a specialist SEMH environment.

The Role

As the Primary Teacher in this SEMH setting, you will:

  • Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons to KS1 and KS2 pupils.
  • Adapt teaching approaches to meet a wide range of academic, emotional and behavioural needs.
  • Provide a structured, nurturing and calm learning environment.
  • Work closely with the pastoral and therapeutic teams to ensure holistic support for each child.
  • Use resilience, patience and creativity to re-engage pupils who may have experienced disrupted or difficult educational journeys.
  • Take responsibility for planning, marking and reporting in line with a full teaching position.
What We're Looking For
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of SEMH needs and/or experience supporting children with additional or complex needs.
  • Ability to teach across KS1 and KS2, adapting work to individual levels.
  • A patient, nurturing and child-focused approach.
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • Due to the rural location, own transport and ability to drive are essential.
Working Hours
  • Monday-Thursday: 08:30 - 16:30
  • Friday: 08:30 - 16:00 (early finish!)
