A leading international law firm is seeking a Knowledge and Information Officer to support its London Global Financial Markets practice area. This role sits within an extremely well-established, friendly and dedicated team where there is the capacity and resource to support someone to grow into the role.

The successful candidate will be a fast learner with some previous experience (maybe a couple of years) in knowledge and information within the legal or professional services sector. Strong communication skills and the ability to engage internal clients are essential, alongside familiarity with knowledge systems, research and experience helping to develop knowledge collections.

This is a varied role with high levels of face‑to‑face interaction and collaboration across groups and practice areas. It would suit someone passionate about KM and keen to contribute to the firm’s knowledge ecosystem through knowledge sharing initiatives and training.

The primary objectives and responsibilities in this Knowledge and Information Officer role include, but are not limited to:
  • Acting as primary knowledge contact for specific practice groups and products
  • Developing and maintaining knowledge and information resources
  • Delivering training and raising awareness of internal and external resources
  • Driving knowledge culture and contributing to projects
  • Responding to enquiries across that vary in topic and complexity
To be a suitable candidate for this Knowledge and Information Officer role, a mix of the following is required:
  • A background in Knowledge/Research/Library/Information Services, ideally within legal or professional services
  • Experience with online database research and knowledge collections
  • Ability to deliver tailored training and define specific practice area needs
