Job description

We are a bold, award-winning business that prides itself on offering an eclectic range of innovative, fresh, and seasonal menus that impress our customers within an industry-leading environment. We run friendly, welcoming, and positive kitchens with high standards, always striving to be the best we can be. These high standards rely on a team of great kitchen porters—the heartbeat of our kitchens—without whom we could not deliver!

We are looking for a Kitchen Porter to join our team.

The Pig is an iconic pub in the heart of Bath, recently refurbished and relaunched with a stunning new look, all-day food offer, and regular live sport. Enjoy hearty seasonal dishes, Piggy twists on pub classics, bar snacks, a delicious brunch menu, and the best Sunday roasts in Bath.

Behind the bar, it’s all about craft beer, cask ale, wine, and cocktails. Our beer garden is perfect for al fresco drinking and dining in the warmer months.

What’s in it for you?

  • The chance to work for an award-winning business, recognized as the Best Food Offer (2019 & 2020) and Best Managed Pub Company (2021) at The UK Publican Awards.
  • Access to Liberation Life—an incredible platform where you can earn cashback with major retailers, save money on holidays, groceries, gifts, and more.
  • A competitive hourly rate plus an equal share of tips. You will be paid for the hours you work.
  • Access to industry-leading training and development through our bespoke ‘Pillars of Progression’ programme.
  • Partnership with HIT training to provide industry-leading apprenticeship schemes.
  • Additional support and coaching from our talented kitchen teams.
  • Tools and investments in our kitchens to help you do a great job.
  • The energy of team parties, events, training courses, excellent suppliers, and some of the industry’s best rewards, discounts, and benefits—including 50% off food on shift.
  • A caring business that supports your well-being, including being ambassadors for the Burnt Chef Project, which fights mental health stigma, and offering a 24/7 Employee Assistance Program for support.
