Role Overview

The Commis Chef supports the senior kitchen team in daily food preparation and service. This is an entry-level role designed for a motivated chef looking to develop strong foundations, learn professional kitchen standards, and grow within a quality-driven environment.

In Your First 12 Months, You’ll…
  • Support senior chefswith daily prep and service tasks
  • Learn and execute recipesto specification and standard
  • Assist with preparation of ingredients, sauces, and components
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisationof your section
  • Follow food safety, hygiene, and allergenprocedures at all times
  • Ensure correct labelling, storage, and stock rotation (FIFO)
  • Minimise waste through careful handlingand guidance from senior chefs
  • Develop knife skills, kitchen discipline, and time management
  • Work effectively as part of a teamduring busy services
  • Show professionalism, reliability, and a willingness to learn
