Responsibilities

• Prepare food stuffs as requested by the Chef.
• Assist with various kitchen duties and ensure cleaning schedules are followed.
• Wash dishes and manage spillages.
• Operate the dishwasher correctly and maintain kitchen cleanliness.
• Sweep and mop the kitchen floor.
• Regularly steam clean kitchen equipment.
• Liaise politely with care staff and service users.

Overview

We are a lovely privately owned care home situated in the heart of East Grinstead and are seeking to employ a Kitchen Porter.

Experience would be an advantage, however training can be given.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare all food stuffs if requested by the Chef and filling condiments when required
• Assist and execute various kitchen duties such as ensuring cleaning schedules are adhered to
• Washing up and dealing with spillages within the servery and kitchen
• Operating the dishwasher and ensuring the correct amount of product is used.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floor
• Regular steam clean of kitchen
• Liaise with care staff and Service Users in a polite and person-centred way

Shift hours

Wednesday, Friday and Sunday - 09.00am-2.45pm

Requirements

Candidates must have the Right to Work in the UK. Employment is subject to an Enhanced DBS check and two satisfactory references.
