Key Account Manager - IT Security

Location: New Malden

Working arrangements: Hybrid (3 office/ 2 WFH)
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 + OTE

A multi-award-winning UK managed service provider, cybersecurity, cloud storage, and IT solutions, is seeking a motivated Key Account Manager to grow existing accounts in the mid-market sector (200-5,000 users). There will be a requirement for new business, but this role is heavily focussed on account management with an 80/20 split in favour of existing business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sell a broad portfolio of IT solutions, including cybersecurity, cloud, and datacentre services.
  • Acquire, qualify, and win new business through proactive prospecting and structured callout sessions.
  • Retain and expand relationships within existing and dormant accounts.
  • Farm accounts to identify and sell into whitespace opportunities.
  • Generate, qualify, and follow up on customer quotes and opportunities.
  • Drive cybersecurity and datacentre sales, meeting monthly/quarterly GP targets and KPIs.
  • Conduct face-to-face meetings with new and prospective clients.
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities and maintain accurate pipeline/forecasts.
  • Build strong relationships with distribution and vendor partners.
  • Collaborate with marketing on campaign initiatives.
  • Continuously improve industry knowledge through personal training.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years current experience in IT solutions/services sales to private sector clients.
  • Proven success in acquiring new business and increasing spend in existing accounts.
  • Strong knowledge of IT security, datacentre, networking, EUC, and HW/SW solutions.
  • Confident phone skills, self-motivated, and target-driven.
  • Strong negotiation, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent telephone manner and ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Ability to work from home efficiently without supervision.
  • Experience in cybersecurity (e.g., penetration testing, DMARC), datacentre (e.g., Veeam backup), or EUC/HW/SW desirable.
