VANRATH are assisting in the recruitment of a Key Account Manager for a large FMCG organisation. The organisation has had constant growth, and the successful candidate would join a part-of-the-future organisation.
The Key Account Manager will look after Foodservice accounts.
Responsibilities
- Acting as the main contact for key accounts, managing contracts, margins and solution delivery.
- Act as primary contact for central and local clients, building long-term partnerships and maintaining site visits.
- Deliver excellent customer service through account management, planning, and forecasting.
- Achieve sales and margin targets across key accounts, grow existing business, and support large-scale tenders.
- Identify strategic opportunities to maximise client potential and drive sales growth.
- Lead contract renewals and negotiations, ensuring commercial viability and client satisfaction.
- Manage day-to-day account activities including product listings, contracts, delivery schedules, and performance reporting.
- Collaborate with logistics, customer service, telesales, and supply chain teams to resolve issues and enhance service delivery.
- Monitor stock availability and support resolution of slow-moving or date-sensitive inventory.
- Provide accurate and timely internal and external sales reporting.
Ideal Person
Criteria
- 2+ years of Key Account experience (or slightly more of account management) within foodservice OR 4-5 years in Business Development within foodservice.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience in preparations of customer proposals.
Bonus Points
- Experience in tender submissions / contract negotiations.
- Experience in budget management / planning / reporting.
