Our success is built on teamwork, courage, innovation, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.

WHAT'S THE MISSION FOR THIS ROLE?

As Key Account Manager, you'll be the driving force behind Canterbury's commercial success across Australia's key accounts. You'll build and nurture long‑term, profitable partnerships that elevate our brand presence, deliver strong sales performance, and align with our strategic priorities. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping Canterbury's future in the market – while inspiring excellence across the Commercial team.

WHAT DOES THIS ROLE DO?
  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve both quantitative and qualitative goals.
  • Conduct weekly store visits to our key accounts to ensure Canterbury is represented with pride and precision, stock levels are consistently replenished, and trade marketing is executed to the highest standard.
  • Drive product, price, placement, and promotion strategies to maximize retail impact.
  • Monitor monthly performance and take proactive steps to ensure targets are met.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Manager to lead Go‑To‑Market (GTM) launches.
  • Be the go‑to expert for retailers, showcasing deep market and competitor insight.
  • Understand key market drivers, retail calendars, and promotional opportunities.
  • Maximize sales through strategic promotions and account‑specific initiatives.
  • Partner with the Sales Manager to strengthen key account relationships, negotiate trading terms, and manage SMU and clearance costs.
  • Identify and pursue new distribution channels to expand Canterbury's reach.
  • Deliver on wholesale sales and margin targets.
  • Work with the Sales Manager to create and sell margin‑positive clearance packages.
WHAT DO I BRING TO THE ROLE?
  • Qualifications in Marketing, Business, or Communications (preferred but not essential).
  • 2‑3 years of Key Account Management experience (preferred).
  • Strong strategic selling and presentation skills.
  • Analytical mindset with a knack for systems and data.
  • A commitment to exceptional customer service.
  • Clear, confident communication with a personable and energetic style.
  • Results‑driven, self‑motivated, and adaptable in your approach.
  • Proven leadership and team collaboration skills.
  • High attention to detail and a methodical work ethic.
  • A track record of exceeding sales targets.
  • Proactive, positive, and passionate about making a difference.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Willingness to travel interstate and nationally as needed.

We want you to live our company principles, bringing a strong consumer focus, while always looking for ways to improve and grow in your role. Take ownership of your work and be proactive in solving problems whilst communicating openly and treating everyone with respect and kindness. And, of course, let your creativity shine by bringing your unique style and individuality to the Pentland Brands Team.
