Overview

This is an interesting MARKET RESEARCH project for a fluent Sgaw Karen speaker and will explore religious and cultural issues in this minority based across Thailand and Myanmar (Burma). The project is culturally sensitive and seeks insights that will help improve access to products and services relevant to the Karen community. The role is ideal for someone who can act as a bridge between the Karen community and the research team.

Start date: asap. Location: ideally on site at the office in the London Bridge area.

Compensation and Schedule

• Salary £20 per hour + Holiday Pay (equivalent to annual salary of £34,000)
• Length of booking: 2 months
• Shifts: 1 or 2 shifts per week, 14:00-22:00 (4 or 5 hours within this window)

Details

The project is culturally sensitive and seeks insights from all household decision makers, and these are mainly female, who play major roles in food, health and hygiene related issues. The information gathered will help gain access to better medical and other support. You will need to interview in a culturally sensitive manner.
