K3522 – Business Development Director, Hard Assets – UK, Thames Valley / South East (Hybrid) – Asset Finance

New Leaf Search is proud to be working in partnership with a leading multinational asset finance company to recruit a Business Development Director focused on Hard Assets.

This newly created role will play a central part in driving growth and diversification across the business. Reporting to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing a robust business development strategy in alignment with the organisation’s ambitious plans.

You’ll bring proven B2B new business expertise in asset finance, a commercial mindset, and the ability to lead from the front in a highly competitive market.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to grow the business and increase profitability
  • Identify and pursue new market opportunities across multiple sectors
  • Track market trends, monitor competitors, and inform strategic direction
  • Work cross-functionally to support product development and launch
  • Deliver accurate reporting and sales forecasting
  • Drive local marketing initiatives, including LinkedIn campaigns
  • Contribute to shaping business strategy and championing innovation
Experience / Skills:
  • Extensive B2B business development experience within the financial services sector
  • Strong understanding of leasing, credit, and risk, including pricing and P&L awareness
  • Demonstrable ability to open new markets and build strategic client relationships
  • Commercially astute with excellent negotiation and presentation skills
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, agile environment
  • Skilled in leading by example and holding others to high standards
  • Proficient with MS Office and digital tools to support data-led decision-making
