Assistant Town Planner - Takeley, Essex

Salary: £28,000 - £35,000

Are you a motivated Assistant Town Planner looking to take the next step in your career with a leading residential developer? We're working exclusively with a highly respected housebuilder with an impressive portfolio of high-quality developments across the South East. Due to continued growth, they're now seeking an ambitious planner to join their busy in-house planning team based in Takeley.

The Role

As an Assistant Town Planner, you'll play a key role in supporting the planning team through all stages of the development process - from initial site appraisals through to the preparation and submission of planning applications. You'll gain exposure to a wide variety of residential and mixed-use projects, working closely with senior planners, architects, and external consultants.

Your responsibilities will include :
  • Assisting with the preparation, coordination, and submission of planning applications and appeals
  • Supporting the team with site assessments and feasibility studies
  • Liaising with local authorities, consultants, and key stakeholders
  • Conducting research on planning policy and legislation
  • Preparing reports, statements, and supporting documents
  • Providing general administrative and technical support to the planning department
