Are you looking for an exciting role where you can build your career while also maintaining a healthy work/life balance? Then you could be the exceptional Junior Sous Chef that we are looking for!

£18.50 per hour, term-time only

Working only 35 weeks of the year!

40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with occasional evenings and weekends

We want you...

People are the most important ingredient in our business recipe, and we are looking for a Junior Sous Chef with fantastic craft skills and a thorough understanding and knowledge of managing allergens to help us create an outstanding food offer at our school site in the St Albans area with approximately 800 children on site. You will be reporting into the Chef Manager.

We play an important part in students learning and development, and we are looking for someone who shares our passion about ensuring that our future generations are provided with nutritious and delicious food, while also inspiring them to lead a healthier lifestyle. Responsibilities

• As our ideal Sous Chef you will: Experience in cooking, ideally in school catering
• Have excellent craft skills and some bakery skills/experience
• Have experience of and be competent in managing allergens
• Have a proven track record of continually improving standards
• Have good communication skills at all levels
• Be passionate about food with a great eye for detail
• Have the ability to understand and complete daily all relevant food and health and safety compliance books

The ideal candidate will also have the flexibility to work overtime as required.
