As we prepare to open our newest venue in Richmond, we’re looking for a passionate and driven Junior Sous Chef to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a leadership role, support the Sous Chef and Head Chef, and contribute to a brand-new kitchen environment.

As a Junior Sous Chef at Ottolenghi Richmond, you will assist the Sous Chef and Head Chef in running the kitchen smoothly and ensuring the delivery of consistently high-quality dishes. You’ll be responsible for leading your section, helping to manage junior chefs, and maintaining the high standards Ottolenghi is known for.

The Ideal Junior Sous Chef will:

  • Support the Sous Chef and Head Chef in managing kitchen operations and running a smooth, efficient service
  • Take charge of your section, ensuring that dishes are prepared to the highest standard
  • Help train and mentor junior chefs
  • Contribute to menu development and seasonal specials, maintaining the Ottolenghi ethos of creativity and quality
  • Ensure high standards of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen cleanliness
  • Be a strong communicator, able to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced kitchen
  • Have a keen eye for detail and a passion for working with fresh, seasonal ingredients
