Overview

Our client is seeking to employ a Junior Restaurant Manager that is based in the Strand area and surroundings. This candidate must have restaurant experience, be focused, grounded on integrity, innovation and have a commitment to excellence. You must be fluent in Afrikaans to apply for this position.

Educational
  • Matric qualification.
  • Excellent MS Office understanding, especially Excel.
Requirements
  • Own transport and a valid driver's license.
Performance Objectives
Employee Management
  • Compile Weekly Rosters for all employees.
  • Daily recon and send reports before 11am.
  • Send through weekly wages every: Monthly and Weekly Tips.
  • Ensure the team is always neat, presentable and that uniforms are worn correctly.
  • Managing and approving of leave.
  • Recruiting, when necessary, of new employees.
  • Managing and monitoring of staff discipline such as late arrivals, dress code, ID/Passport verification.
  • Maintaining of personnel files with specific reference to contracts, IDs, Passports, Work Permits, etc.
  • Ensure all employees are operating within the regulations as per the company policy and procedures.
  • Ensure correct range and stock levels are maintained.
  • Report incidents to Manager.
  • Placing orders as per the order schedule.
  • Ensure all invoices are GRV'd + signed, and email invoice for payment with payment requisition.
  • Ensure float count is done every week.
  • Check if cleaning schedule is being adhered to.
  • Managing of expenses.
Service Department Admin & Management
  • Print stock counts, do spot checks.
  • Ensure the store is always neat and tidy.
  • Ensure promotional displays are correct.
  • Assist with developing and implementing of strategies to meet GP targets across all Service Departments.
  • Keeping waste/expired stock under the pre-determined benchmarks.
  • To maintain a GP on or above the pre-determined benchmarks.
  • Resolve customer complaints.
  • Maintain RSP pricing as per standards.
  • Receiving stock and ensuring invoice and stock correlates
  • Assist with the day to day running of store as required.
