  • Tracks actual costs versus plan (using Microsoft Project and internal Dynamics AX time recording system).
  • Maintains awareness of ongoing non‑trivial problems towards their solution and ensures that project objectives are met.
  • Monitors and controls all individuals allocated to the project, ensuring activities are carried out in accordance with appropriate standards and KPMG methodology.
  • Manages any third parties involved as sub‑contractors, ensuring deliverables are produced on time, to required quality standards and in line with agreed commercials; refers as needed to the Program Manager for escalations.
  • Ensures risks and issues are correctly assessed and reported, proactively predicting and mitigating risk.
  • Maintains Decision and Action logs from key project governance meetings.
  • Maintains the change log and applies effective change control.
  • Applies configuration management principles to manage the overall project document library.
  • Maintains and publishes the project dashboard, providing critical data such as backlog stats, burndown graph, risk and issue stats, defect and completion stats, task completion stats and change log stats.
  • Prepares weekly reports for review by the Program Manager before distribution to the client.
  • Participates in client reporting sessions, including weekly progress review meetings.
  • Tracks actual vs. budgeted costs and effort on a weekly basis.
  • Plans and monitors validation activities with the customer to ensure all requirements are met.
  • Plans and monitors internal verification activities, including reviews, walkthroughs, and testing, and oversees the correction of non‑conformities to ensure quality of all deliverables.
  • Plans and monitors release and implementation activities; works closely with the Solution Architect to ensure overall quality of deliverables prior to release.
  • Receives, analyses and coordinates the implementation of project/system live changes requested by the customer when applicable.
  • Addresses all project customer satisfaction issues, escalating feedback as necessary.
  • Participates in resource management, utilisation and capacity planning processes; liaises with the Resource Manager and other Project Managers for optimum utilisation of resources.
  • Contributes to continuous refinement and improvement of the best‑practice project delivery methodology and shares lessons learned.
  • Tracks any sub‑contracts and work orders with the finance function; liaises with the purchasing department to raise purchase orders for approved work orders.
The Person
