An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior Project Buyer to support project procurement activities within a leading business in Bristol. This is a structured development role with the opportunity to progress into Project Buyer, Project Procurement Lead positions as you grow your experience.

The Role

Working alongside senior Buyers and Project Managers, you will help ensure critical materials and services are sourced on time, within budget and to specification. This role offers clear pathways for career advancement in both procurement and project management.

Responsibilities
  • Support project procurement activities from RFQ through to contract award

  • Liaise with suppliers to obtain pricing, lead times and compliance documentation

  • Prepare cost reports and support project reviews with Procurement & Project Managers

  • Track purchase orders, deliveries and invoices against project schedules

  • Assist with negotiations to secure value for money and best terms

  • Contribute to continuous improvement in procurement processes

Skills & Experience
  • Procurement or supply chain background, ideally within engineering, defence or manufacturing

  • Strong commercial awareness and interest in project delivery

  • Confident communicator with good stakeholder management skills

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks to deadlines

  • CIPS study or willingness to work towards qualification is highly desirable
