Job description
Junior Product Analyst

We have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Product Analyst to join our Corporate Products team on a fixed term basis for a period of 12 months (home based).

Who we are

Railpen is responsible for the safekeeping and investment of around £34 billion in assets and the administration of several pension schemes, including the Railways Pension Scheme, one of the UK's largest and longest established pension funds.

Our heritage of looking after the pension needs of the rail industry and its employees gives us our name and our unique outlook on how we serve our members. The Role

As the Junior Product Analyst you will look to collaborate with cross functional teams, driving standardised and consistent organisational adoption of our corporate products to maximise the value of investment.

You will assist in the management of product backlogs, ensuring that tickets are accurately documented and prioritised and escalated when required. This role is also responsible for providing product administration support, including user management, configuration, and troubleshooting.

The Person

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail‑oriented Junior Product Analyst to join our Corporate Products team. The ideal candidate will ideally have experience working with Workday ERP, Sunrise ESM, Project for the Web or other ESM products. While expertise in these products is not required, an awareness of their capabilities and an understanding of agile product development is essential. As the Product Analyst, you will be innovative with the ability to identify areas for development and propose suitable solutions.

We are looking for an individual with the ability to communicate effectively to a variety of stakeholders, at all levels within Railpen. You will build effective stakeholder relationships, understanding and developing business requirements, whilst ensuring best practices are met. Organisational skills and an ability to adapt and re‑plan due to competing priorities is key. You will be keen to learn and develop within this role and ultimately contribute to establishing best practice within the Corporate Products team.

Our values of integrity, community and alignment are the guiding principles that influence our behaviour. They help us make decisions and shape our relationships with others. They’re what we stand for. You will actively demonstrate our values, helping to create a safe environment, to place the needs of the community above oneself and, through a culture of ‘fair challenge’, align to the best interests of our members.
