• Liaise with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure smooth delivery.

Our client, a respected building services contractor based in Chichester, is expanding their project delivery team and seeking a Junior Mechanical Project Manager to join them. This is an ideal role for someone who's ready to step up, take ownership of projects, and grow into a fully autonomous Project Manager with the guidance of an experienced senior leadership team.

You’ll be working on a diverse portfolio of healthcare and commercial projects, delivering high‑quality mechanical installations across the South.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the planning, coordination, and delivery of mechanical building services projects from pre‑construction through to handover
• Assist in managing project programmes, budgets, and resource allocation
• Work closely with senior project managers to develop your technical and commercial understanding
• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery
• Attend site meetings, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with health & safety standards
• Review technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation
• Support procurement activities and manage materials and equipment deliveries
• Contribute to project reporting, risk management, and quality assurance processes

About You

• Experience in mechanical building services, ideally within a contracting environment
• Currently working as an Assistant Project Manager, Junior Project Manager, or Project Engineer - or already a Project Manager who would benefit from additional support
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, public health, etc.)
• Confident communicator with the ability to build strong relationships
• Organised, proactive, and eager to develop into a fully independent Project Manager
• Full UK driving licence
