Job summary

A leading technology firm in the Vale of White Horse seeks a Junior Manufacturing Technician to support the build of complex instrumentation. You will receive extensive training and work closely with the manufacturing team to ensure quality and performance standards. Ideal candidates have relevant qualifications in electromechanical engineering and experience in an assembly environment. This role offers exceptional exposure in a cutting-edge facility.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in assembly environment.
  • Experience of working with complex systems and tooling.

Responsibilities

  • Build and test assemblies and tools using build and test documents.
  • Assembly of cable subassemblies to IPC standards.
  • Identify and diagnose manufacturing issues.
  • Assist in maintaining and improving processes and manufacturing quality.

Job description

Selexa Biotech are partnered with a leading instrumentation & technology sector, upon which the foundations of many high industries are underpinned, from AI through to comms, where advances have been made through innovative semiconductor processes.

We are currently expanding and growing a new state-of-the-art manufacturing and production facility, where we are looking for a Junior Manufacturing Tech to join the Operations function.

As a Junior Technician, you will undergo extensive engineering, production and product specific training to ensure production meet internal and external requirements for performance and reliability. You will be responsible for supporting the build of a range of assemblies required to build and test complex instrumentation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build and test assemblies and assemble tools to standard utilising build and test documents
  • Assembly of cable subassemblies to IPC standards
  • Ability to solder competently
  • Identify and diagnose manufacturing issues
  • Assist manufacturing team in maintaining and improving processes and manufacturing quality
  • Understanding and working to BOMs
Qualifications & Skillset:
  • Relevant foundation level qualification ideally within electromechanical engineering and assembly
  • Previous experience in assembly environment
  • Experience of working with complex systems and tooling
  • Excellent communication skills
