Job description
Junior Clinical Fellow in Burns and Plastic Surgery (Locally Employed Doctor)

Applications are invited for Trust Grade doctors (CT level) in the Burns and Plastic Surgery Department at Wythenshawe Hospital and Royal Manchester Children's Hospital (RMCH). Wythenshawe is a Major Trauma Centre and RMCH is the Major Trauma Centre for paediatric trauma in Manchester.

Candidates that are non-GMC registered at the point of application will be considered for this position under the Trusts International Fellowship Scheme (note: there is a £500 admin charge for this scheme). Job responsibilities

The successful candidates will work with nationally renowned Consultant Plastic Surgeons and will gain exposure to both elective and trauma admissions. Wythenshawe Hospital provides sub-specialised elective surgery in hand surgery, breast reconstruction and complex reconstruction. Emergency work includes all aspects of hand and upper limb injuries, facial soft tissue trauma, and we also house the regional burns centre. There are daily trauma clinics and consultant-led trauma operating lists. The plastic surgery department at RMCH deals with elective and emergency paediatric surgery and additionally has the regional cleft service and paediatric burns centre.

Essential

  • Basic medical qualification
