Junior Legal PA – 14 Month FTC

An opportunity has arisen at one of our renowned London law firm clients for a Junior Legal PA to join its market-leading Property department on an initial 14-month fixed-term contract.

  • Salary to £33,000
  • 14-month fixed-term contract
  • Hybrid working – 2 days in the office / 3 days WFH
  • 09:30-17:30 (Monday-Friday)
  • Holborn / Chancery Lane

The team consists of two Partners, two Counsel, one Senior Associate and one Associate. The role will focus on providing general support to the team, including preparing documentation and assisting with the payment and collection of monies in connection with the administration of assets that arise when companies are dissolved or when individuals die intestate within designated estates.

Key Responsibilities of the Junior Legal PA
  • Assist in file opening and record keeping
  • Pay in cheques, prepare credit slips for bank transfers, and prepare and pay third party bills
  • Assist with general telephone enquiries and provide advice where required regarding document and fee requirement in relation to company restoration matters
  • Carry out Companies House checks
  • Issue waiver letters for company restorations
  • Assist in preparation of letters to former directors and shareholders of dissolved companies
  • Assist with the sale of trademarks that belonged to a dissolved company to third parties
  • Provide administrative support in dealing with new referrals
Skills & Requirements of the Junior Legal PA
  • Previous experience working as a Team Administrator or Junior Legal PA within a law firm is essential
  • Ability to assume responsibility and deal efficiently with a varied and often demanding workload is a key requirement
  • Strong MS skills, in particular Excel
  • Highly organised, proactive, flexible, and a strong team player
