Junior Front-End Software Engineer (Contract – Remote)

Our firm is seeking a Junior Front-End Software Engineer to support the build and launch of our client-facing platform. This role is fully remote and offered on a contract basis, with a competitive hourly rate for the successful candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing user-facing features for our web platform
• Work with senior engineers to translate UI/UX designs into responsive, accessible, and performant code
• Support integration of front-end components with backend services and APIs
• Contribute to code reviews and maintain clean, reusable code standards
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and other team members to deliver high-quality features on schedule

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Familiarity with at least one modern front-end framework (React, Vue, or Angular preferred)
• Knowledge of Git for version control
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn from senior team members
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a remote environment

Nice to Have

• Exposure to TypeScript or state management libraries (Redux, Pinia, Vuex)
• Experience with Figma or similar design collaboration tools
• Familiarity with basic testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress)
• Initial 6-month contract with potential for extension based on project needs and performance
