Junior Commercial Administrator

As a Junior Commercial Administrator, you will be an integral part of our Finance team, providing essential support across various commercial and financial operations. This role offers a fantastic chance to gain practical experience in a busy finance department, working closely with experienced professionals and contributing to the smooth running of our day‑to‑day and month‑end processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Administration & Support:
  • Supporting the reconciliation of jobs between planned versus billed figures, ensuring data accuracy.
  • Creating and maintaining vendor and customer records, and assisting clients with financial setup requests.
  • Closing old or inactive jobs within our systems to maintain data integrity.
  • Assisting with the raising of Purchase Orders.
  • Month‑End Process Assistance:
  • Collaborating with the Finance team on month‑end reporting, including assisting with revenue report reconciliations.
  • Helping to identify and resolve administrative issues to assist in revenue reporting.
  • Assisting in the preparation of month‑end evidence and documentation for SOX compliance.
  • Data Management & Reporting:
  • Extracting and formatting reports from Workday, preparing them for integration into SharePoint files that feed our utilisation, time, and profitability dashboards.
  • Supporting the preparation of revenue sheets and gathering necessary evidence for commercial leads.
  • Assisting with PowerBI refreshes and data integrity checks (training provided).
  • Operational & Commercial Support:
  • Providing administrative support for various Workday BAU tasks.
  • Assisting with burn reports and timesheet reconciliations, working with delivery and account management teams to understand job‑level movements.
  • Supporting the commercial lead with resourcing tasks and ad‑hoc analysis on expense reports.
  • Preparing weekly revenue meeting minutes.
What We're Looking For (Your Profile)
  • Education: A recent graduate or someone with a strong academic background in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • Eagerness to Learn: A genuine interest in finance and commercial operations, with a proactive and enthusiastic approach to learning new systems and processes.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous and accuracy in your work, with a keen eye for numbers and data.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
