Job description

Do you have a passion for engineering and hands on manufacturing? Do you have experience with CNC machinery? Are you looking to join a company that will invest in you with training and long‑term progression? Our client, a leading engineering firm based in Kent, is looking for a motivated individual at the early stages of their machining career to join their skilled production team.

Responsibilities
  • Setting and operating CNC lathes to produce precision components
  • Loading programs and making basic offsets and adjustments
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
  • Measuring and inspecting components
  • Ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards
  • Carrying out basic machine maintenance and housekeeping
Qualifications
  • Basic experience or training in CNC machining, with a focus on turning
  • Understanding of CNC controls, ideally Fanuc but training will be provided
  • Ability to read technical drawings
  • Willingness to learn and develop machining skills
  • Good attention to detail and a strong work ethic
  • Relevant apprenticeship, college qualification, or on‑the‑job experience

Hours of work are Monday‑Thursday (Apply online only) and Friday (Apply online only). 38 hours per week.
