Overview

Venrec are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of our client; an established manufacturing firm based in Southend-on-Sea for a Junior CAD Technician. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a creative and innovative team with the possibility of career progression. This role will be Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00.

Responsibilities
  • Creating detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings based on prepared briefs and instructions.
  • Revisiting existing technical drawings following revisions and correcting inaccuracies.
  • Working closely with the sales and projects teams, including other technicians and designers to meet the business needs and deadlines.
  • Reviewing project requirements, initial designs, and other data to understand the technical specification of each project.
  • Keeping an accurate and detailed record of all design work undertaken and ensuring all documentation is kept well-organised.
  • Receiving training from experienced professionals to develop skills in CAD software, industry standards, and best practices.
  • Ensuring that all company policies and procedures are strictly adhered to.
  • In exceptional circumstances, completing out-of-hours work as required by the company.
Qualifications
  • A successful candidate will have: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with an emphasis on telephone calls.
  • An understanding of CAD systems and their importance within the design process.
  • The ability to efficiently follow processes and good organisational skills.
  • The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • A problem-solving mindset and the ability to critically assess situations.

Salary: £27,000 per annum
