We’re looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Automated Tester to join our team — someone with a solid understanding of software development principles and a passion for improving testing efficiency through automation.

What You’ll Be Doing

In this hybrid role, you’ll work remotely and collaborate in our vibrant, open-plan Bristol office. Your day-to-day might include:

  • Collaborating with developers to understand project requirements and define test cases and scripts.
  • Creating and debugging automated test scripts using modern tools and frameworks.
  • Executing manual tests to uncover edge cases, usability issues, and hard-to-detect bugs that automation might miss.
  • Using keen observational and analytical skills to identify, document, and communicate bugs clearly and effectively.
  • Analysing test results and reporting defects with clarity and precision.
  • Working closely with the QA team to ensure comprehensive test coverage and optimize testing processes.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of our automation strategy and tooling.

We’re seeking a talented Junior Automation Tester who brings some of the following:

  • Either a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related STEM field, or relevant hands-on experience in software testing or development.
  • Exposure to automation testing tools such as Playwright,Puppeteer, orCypress — or a strong willingness to learn them.
  • Basic programming skills in TypeScript,C#, or similar languages.
  • A solid understanding of software development and testing principles.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive, collaborative mindset.
