Job description

Mondrian Alpha are working with a fast-growing hedge fund that is looking to hire a Junior Accountant into its finance team. This role offers broad exposure across core accounting and fund reporting and is well suited to someone at an early stage in their accounting career, with around 6–24 months of experience, who is keen to build a strong technical foundation within a high-quality investment environment.

The position will sit alongside a senior member of the finance team, providing day-to-day support across the firm’s accounting and reporting processes. Responsibilities will include assisting with month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, journal preparation and NAV oversight, as well as supporting the audit process and liaising with external service providers. The scope of the role will naturally expand over time as the individual develops and takes on more responsibility.

They are looking for a candidate with an Accounting and Finance degree (or similar), who has gained some initial experience either through an internship or a junior role in practice or industry. A strong academic background, good attention to detail and a genuine interest in building a career in accounting are key. The firm is highly supportive of professional development and will fully fund accounting qualifications, alongside a structured study package and on-the-job training.

This is a strong opportunity for a motivated junior candidate seeking hands-on exposure, close mentorship and a clear progression path within a growing hedge fund. The firm offers an excellent base salary, a competitive bonus, and a market-leading benefits package, including an on-site gym, subsidised canteen and a range of wellbeing initiatives.
