A leading public broadcaster is seeking a team member for its Radio Bristol division. The role involves presenting live travel bulletins, managing events, and collaborating with guests. You will need strong technical knowledge of live radio operations and excellent organization skills. Preference for candidates with the ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, to support a dynamic broadcasting schedule.

JOB BAND: B
CONTRACT TYPE: Permanent Part-time (0.8 EFT/ 28 hours per week )
DEPARTMENT: BBC RADIO BRISTOL
LOCATION: Bristol
PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: Include salary range including currency icon e.g. £24,800 - £33,400 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.
Please note this role is to work on live radio shows in the studio and on live events so working from home is not possible.
Join the BBC Radio Bristol team and work on exciting programmes like the Joe Sims Breakfast Show, helping them put the show together and be involved in live outputting of the programme. You will have ideas for what to do on the programme that day, find and set up guests, record and edit audio, read travel reports on air and have the technical ability to share our best bits with other BBC platforms. This role will also focus on putting on events in our communities. It will require some weekend working and a good knowledge of how to run events safely.
